Will this madness stop?

I just don't understand the girl bitten/boy bitten kind of stories. Will the reporters let us know how these attcks happened? Was there any provocation? How serious were the wounds? Where can one avail free treatment from BBMP? Else what is the purpose of such reports? Spreading fear? Fanning hysteria?

i am still trying to imagine what the girl/boy must have done for a dog..a creature that is barely as tall as a child's knee...to inflict nose and head injuries.

a four year old cannot provoke a dog? man..i'd laugh if this situation is so fucking tragic and pathetic.

Sush, all the time we people try to solve problems in same way. We seldom try to find the root cause. Why there are so many stray dogs in first place? I agree we should not kill them but it's hard to adopt them. One solution would be to keep them away and feed them properly until their natural death. And make sure that they don't breed in captivity and outside as strays. This will make sure that there are no strays in future.

I am not saying anything against dogs. Our own human negligence has caused the suffering in another species and many more.

Also most have a misconception that killing a animal is wrong. Infact in this case if death is brought about in right way, it is quite 'kind'. It ends the suffering and agony of the animal. I am not saying to kill every animal for such a reason, but certain animals who are beyond adoption and recovery and it's better to mercy kill such animals. We need to overcome this feeling that 'death' is bad. Infact life sometimes is much worse.

And It's not just a dog's life. If you see pet animals, many are kept in horrible conditions like birds in cages. What about them?

Root cause is 'we', 'the humans'. As long as we are here, no other animal will have peace. Can you kill 'us' to save other animals. NO we can't. Bcoz we love our life. Death is scary to us.

Exactly Pradeep, that is what we are asking for:
Vaccination, neutering for population control
Garbage disposal
Eutanising rabid, diseased dogs
Shelters for stray animals
Adoption of strays (passive/active)
Responsible/Regularised breeding of pedigree dogs
Awareness about rabies, how to behave like "human" around animals

But sadly all this requires effort and eaisr way is to just go about killing which never ever addresses the root cause or solves the problem. Short sighted and foolish, illegal, inhuman, decision is what we are against.
